The Flywheel Strategy for My Goals

Image
This week in Tech for Leading and Learning we looked at the flywheel technology leadership strategy. The flywheel technology leadership strategy is a good way to ensure success in doing your one thing. Your one thing can be a short-term goal, mid-term goal, or even a long-term goal. I chose my One-Thing, UX Design because I enjoy using computers and I want to help people navigate technology better. Constantly referring to the flywheel you create for your one-thing can help make sure that you are on the right track to achieving your goal. In this blog, I will further explain the contents of the flywheel technology leadership strategy, and relate it to my short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals.                      The Flywheel Technology Leadership Strategy is used by many companies, as it turns wishful goals into realized ones. It will allow you to identify what you wish to occur within your business and for your business and turn it into a reality. One of the stag

How Entropy Relates To UX Design

Image
In module 4 we looked at the law of entropy in technology. This states that all technologies trend toward disaster, and ultimately their downfall. As a product develops, the entropy or amount of disaster increases. What we also discussed was the S-Curve Model and paradigm shifts. In my blog today I will cover how entropy, the S-Curve Model, and paradigm shifts relate to UX Design.  S-CurveModel (Figure 1. Typical Technology S-Curve., n.d.)                 I will begin this blog by talking about how UX design can be connected to entropy, I will talk about what we covered about the S-Curve Model and the paradigm shift. The S-Curve Model is used to visualize the entropy of a product. Simply put, it is a chart that shows the rate of the trend for a product, or really anything. Beginning with the introduction of it, then moving to the growth, next the maturity or development of the product before finally coming to the decline and downfall of what it is describing.

The 6D's of Exponential Growth

Image
(6D's of Exponential Growth Video By Peter Diamandis)                In module 3 of Technology for leading and learning, we discussed Ray Kurzweil’s Law of Accelerating Return. This law, simply put, states that technology further advances itself by pushing its limits and revamping the linear way we see change and development. This is measured in stages known as the 6D’s, created by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler, which is what we covered in class. These 6D’s are digitization, deception, disruption, demonetization, dematerialization, and democratization. I found a video on YouTube directly from Peter Diamandis describing the 6D's of Exponential Growth. I feel it is very thorough and gives good examples. This is what my blog will be about today.                                                                                      (See the references to view image (6Ds-Peter-Diamands.Jpg (960×720), n.d.)              The first ‘D’, digitization, is essentially the

What We Covered In Module 2

Image
We covered three topics in  module 2 of my Tech For Leading and Learning Class. The 3R study method, Moore's Law, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Simplistically, the 3R study method is a method to better comprehend readings for things such as books, articles, magazines, etc. Moore's Law is a law that basically predicts the growth rate of technologies in our society. And we used Adobe Creative Cloud to learn how to edit photos. I will talk deeper about these topics learned in Module 2.           (3Rs image made by me in Adobe Creative Cloud)           To look deeper into the 3R study method, I'll give a quick summary of what it is and what it states. The 3R method is used to quickly comprehend readings you have been assigned. The 3Rs are research, read, and reflect. First, research. You must find information about what you are being assigned. This is done by searching Google, YouTube, Google Scholar, and other databases with information. For example, if I was assigned to

About Me

Image
Hi guys, my name is Armari, I'm from Bermuda, and I'm a huge soccer fan and love watching movies, specifically Marvel/DC or any type of action/adventure and comedy. Most times I keep to myself but when necessary I can engage in conversation. At the moment, I'm studying psychology, but I plan to change to computer science. After I graduate, I don't really know what I want to do, but it'll probably involve technology in some way. I'm not photogenic so the picture I've included is from a little while ago.
